1st Indoor Meet

Last Saturday morning, Noel and Morgan drove back down to Indianapolis and met Marissa at the hotel.  Then they spent the day back at the natatorium so they could watch some records being broken at the state swimming finals.  It is something they've enjoyed doing together the past couple of years.

While they were in Indy, I headed over to the TRAC at the high school because track season is starting to pick up and Melayna was set to participate in her first indoor track meet of the season.  It wasn't an official meet so she had to sign herself up independently, but she wanted to get a run of hurdles under her and see where she was going into the season.  The doors opened up at 8:30 and her event would go at 9:30.

We have such a nice indoor facility.  I have to admit, it's one of the better indoor facilities, especially as far as spectator seating goes.  I chose a spot up towards the top so that I could try to take videos of all of the hurdle events to send to Noel.

There's Laynie running to get warmed up.

And then just a few minutes before her heat would began.

And then the video of her run.  She was glad that I took video of it so she could see a few things that she wants to work on.

She placed 1st in her heat with a time of 10.5.  It's really early in the season so it will be fun to see how her races get better through the long track season.
