National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Melayna was inducted into the National Honor Society on Monday night.

All of the junior class inductees would sit up on the stage while the senior class would sit off to the side of the Performing Arts Center.  The NHS leaders would talk about the four pillars of the Honor Society and then all of the students would stand and light their candles while pledging to serve in their community.

Then the juniors would be introduced one at a time and each would be presented with a certificate and a pin.

Congratulations Melayna on another academic award.  I am so proud of you and how you are using the talents and abilities that the Lord has blessed you with to be a light.  Keep up the great work!

National Junior Honor Society Induction 2019

It has been another busy week as we continue to wrap up a few activities that the girls have been involved in.  As I mentioned earlier, band finished up Monday night.  Marissa and Melayna have had their track parties this week and then on Wednesday night we went to the National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

Morgan was inducted last year as a 7th grader and took the vow to fulfill her service requirements.  She did complete those service hours and was recognized for those achievements during the ceremony along with the other 8th graders.

Then Marissa was recognized as an incoming 7th grader and pledged to fulfill her service requirements through this upcoming school year.

After the brief induction ceremony, the girls were able to have a few refreshments and take pictures with their friends.  I honestly think that part was the real reason why they agreed to come.  LOL
